When was the last time you allowed yourself to get lost in God's fantastic creativity? I went to this amazing local place my daughter discovered last week and we were surrounded by God’s extravagant creation. It was a Garden Center near Emerald Isle, and every plant and bloom showed off the fruitfulness of our Creator God.
I’m not a plant gal. Yet sitting in that garden, surrounded by all of God’s wonderful creativity, settled my soul and calmed my heart.

Truly. To gaze at a navy blue leaf the size of my upper body threw me into worship. It gave me a further glimpse into the heart of our generous, creative God.
All from one leaf!
You try it. Take a moment to quiet your mind and focus your attention on one of God’s amazing creations.
It could be a plant, a child, a spouse, or the weather outside your window. God shows Job His almighty power and sovereignty through flashes of lightning and the clouds.
“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders. Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes His lightning flash? Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of Him who has perfect knowledge?” (Job 37:14-16)
Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of Him who has perfect knowledge?” (Job 37:14-16)

Stop your world for a few minutes and admire His handiwork. Pay special attention to the great detail He put in this one thing He brought into existence.
It will blow your mind.
God’s creations point you to the heart of your Loving Father. Life and all that is created comes from God. John 1:3 says,
“Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” Job pens it best. “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:7-10).
Powerful truth. Truth that shows you the glory of God. Truth that thrusts you into worship if you are willing to go there. Will you?
Psalms 33:5 proclaims, “...the earth is full of His unfailing love.”
And Psalms 19:1 tells us, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the works of His hands.”
Even a peek at the night sky shows His love and provision for you. Romans 1:20 points out that “...God’s invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
If you find yourself feeling distant from your Creator, go outside. Look around! His love is displayed in all He has made.
Let all He created, in extensive detail, bring you back to Him. He loves you so much! His heart for you is in everything He has made. You can see His care in every detail of all He created.

Today, take a moment to set your mind on something God created. Anything will do, an ant or blade of grass, a flower, the sky, a bird, or your family pet.
Gaze on it. Study it. Let your mind take in the intricate details that God intentionally added. And let your heart be thrown into worship of the One who created all life, including your favorite things.
Take time to be amazed by your Heavenly Father through all He has made. And worship Him, the lover of your soul.
Tell me one thing you see. Right now! One of His Creations that's sitting right in front of you.

I LOVE the Psalm that says the Heavens declare the glory of God! Thanks for sharing this! I think this time of year always feels especially easy for me to appreciate his creations.
